Samir Khalil Samir SJ is professor of History of Arabic Culture and Islamic Studies at the Université Saint-Joseph (Beyrouth). He is also teaching at the Pontificio Istituto Orientale (Rome) and the Centre Sèvres, Jesuite Faculty of Theology and Philosophy (Paris). He has created the Centre de documentation et de recherches arabes chrétiennes (CEDRAC, USJ), and chairs the Gruppo di Ricerca arabo-cristiana (GRAC), Rome.
