Eleonora Di Vincenzo took at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” the PhD (2009) in Islamic studies: history and philology. She is member of the Research Group “r3a” (University of Rome), and she teaches Arabic Language and Arabic Literature at the University of “Roma Tre”.
Her fields of research are the Ghafiqi’s Kitāb al-adwiya ‘l‑mufrada, one of the major medieval encyclopedias of medicinal plants (12^th century), and al‑’Aḫḍarī’s Sirāǧ fī ʽilm al‑falak, a treaty in verses on astronomy (16th century).
