Ouafae Nahli (1960) took at the Scuola Normale Superiore of Fès (Marocco) her degree in Natural Sciences. She participated in the project for the development of the Arabic software DBT 4 (Dipartimento di Scienze Storiche del Mondo Antico - University of Pisa) and in the “Progetto Cluster C18: Corpus Bilingue Italiano - Arabo”  (ILC/CNR, Pisa). She is Research Fellow ant the ILC/CNR Area della ricerca di Pisa and she is working on the creation of a lexicon of Arabic language out of the Lisān al-‘arab.

Her main research interests are related to the computational analysis of Arabic language (morphology and syntax).
