Elvira Wakelnig
Elvira Wakelnig completed her Ph.D. in Islamic Studies at the University of Erlangen in 2005. She was research associate of the Glossarium Graeco-Arabicum-Project (GALex) at the University of Bochum (2005), short-term Frances A. Yates fellow at the Warburg Institute (2006) and held a post-doctoral position at the University of Halle (2006-7). Within a research project at the University of Warwick (2007-2010) she edited, translated and studied the Philosophy Reader preserved in the Oxford manuscript Marsh 539 (published at CUP). She was part of the HERA project
Sharing Ancient WisdomS (
SAWS) and responsible for the Austrian research group at the University of Vienna (2010-13).
